About Connór

Welp, you guested it. It’s me. Hi, friends! My name is Connór and I am the dude behind the creation of STAAHJ. I’m also an Artist/Designer that goes by the name SEVEN. This was also the inspiration to start my own Design Agency @7avisualcraftsman back in 2015. Then on January 1st, 2023 I had the wild idea to travel around the world to CHALLENGE myself (physically and mentally), to INSPIRE people to go explore the world to learn new things about cultures and cuisines, and the most important thing…COOK!

Thank you for joining be on my cooking adventure/project. Since January 2023, I have been traveling around the world to film episodes for Season 1 of my cooking show called “The Cooks Venture” and it will be released on YouTube sometime once I have enough funding for post production editing. This project is 100% self-funded and I’m trying my best to make it as good as possible. So far I have traveled to 10 different countries and numerous cities/locations to film. I am learning so much on this journey between cultures, cooking, and definitely how to film a cooking show.

I also want to clarify my beginning statement about NOT being a CHEF. I am a professional artist/designer who has a deep passion for cooking and traveling. Hence why I created my cooking company STAAHJ. A Chef to me is someone who has either invested into culinary school, who has worked in professional kitchens for years, or operates/owns their own restaurant. CHEF; The conductor of a symphony. COOK, just a singular musician.

I have the upmost respect to chefs and people in the restaurant industry in general for their insane dedication, grueling hours, high pressure, figuring out margins, costs of goods, utilities, staffing, COVID, food safety, hospitality, and interactions with rude and just down right $hitty humans from the general public. ALL of this and more is why I hold the title of CHEF so high and would never want to disrespect it. Let me make it very clear, I AM A COOK NOT CHEF. Huge love to all of my actual CHEF friends I have all around the world. You all make the world a tastier place. We as guests should always honor that when we dine with y’all.

I have been in and out of the kitchen my entire life and associate cooking with family. This project and cooking lesson service I offer to connect with people truly warms my heart. Now I can share all of my knowledge and epic stories from all over the world right in your home kitchen. I can’t wait to cook with you. Let’s fly with flavor!
